I am Dr. Shuarra Hussain, a PhD in Chemistry—educator by profession, artist by passion. Through my brand Shucreation, I transform paper into wearable, sturdy, and water-resistant art jewellery using techniques such as origami, quilling, folding, and papier-mâché.
My work blends scientific understanding with artistic creativity, with a strong focus on sustainability and innovation. During my time in Qatar, I actively exhibited my pieces as part of the QATART artists group at Katara Cultural Village.
Now based in the UK, I am working to raise awareness of this unique art form and share the expressive potential of paper with a wider audience.
